Let me start out by saying that I LOVE massages. I’m lucky enough to have a partner that puts up with my constant requests for rubdowns, and the Amazing Hot Heart Massager from PinkCherry.com has become my new best friend. The Hot Heart Massager comes packaged ready to use, along with a small packet of massage oil and a “massage guide” (although, it hardly counts as a guide).
The massager fits nicely in my hand, and is decked out with a big “XOXO” on the front. The back lists directions for use and re-use, as well as warnings and the website for Lover’s Choice. When the massager is ready for use, the pink inner-filling is in a liquid state. To activate the heat, you just bend the little metal disk (which floats around in the liquid) a few times. The liquid quickly begins crystallizing and turning a lighter shade of pink. (From top to bottom, the picture to the left shows the massager in the liquid state, starting to crystalize right after being activated, and fully crystalized.) It gets hot, and it does it fast! The liquid is completely crystallized in less than a minute and remains squishy and pliable, although it stiffens as it cools down. The heat lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, and within an hour the massager is completely rigid and no longer warm. One of the coolest things about the Hot Heart Massager is the fact that it’s reusable, with no limit of how many times you can use it. Boil the massager for 10 minutes, let it cool to room temperature, and it’s ready to go again!
The packet of massage oil that comes with the Hot Heart Massager is ⅔ ounces of “Citrus Blossoms” massage oil. The packet lasted us one massage, although I think it could last 2 or 3 massages for most people, depending on the usage. The oil had a very nice consistency and was not sticky at all. The scent reminded me of lemon furniture polish (it was very similar to Pledge), but it wasn’t horrible or over-powering. I would have preferred a different scent because the smell reminded me of cleaning, not relaxing, but it wasn’t too strong or unpleasant. The “massage guide” is very basic and didn’t provide any new information. It mainly listed ways to “create the perfect setting” and “express your love through touch” (yes, those are quotes) which I didn’t find very useful.
Let’s move on to the good part: How did it feel? One word – Amazing. After applying massage oil, the heated massager glides over skin effortlessly. The heat starts off very warm (but not too intense) and slowly gets cooler as time goes on. The only way I could think to improve the massager is to make it last longer (it feels so good that I’m always left wanting more). It’s also perfect for things other than massages, like soothing cramps or injuries that require the use of heating pads.
I plan on ordering another one to keep at my partners house (one can never be too prepared, right?) and wouldn’t hesitate in giving these as gifts. I strongly recommend the Amazing Hot Heat Massager to everyone, it’s just that amazing. Thanks to PinkCherry.com for my new massage must-have!
