If you know much about me, you know I love massages and massage candles. I have lusted for a Bwarm massage candle for quite some time now, especially since so many people have seemed to love it. Play Passions was kind enough to send me the Bwarm Soy Massage Candlein Rose Patchouli, and finally fulfill my desire to get my hands on one of these babies. When I first opened up the packaging, the scent was immediately noticeable. It reminded me of my grandmother’s perfume, no joke. Not so sexy. My partner asked for a massage before bed one night, but decided against using the Bwarm candle after smelling it. Honestly, I avoided trying the candle until the weekend, just so I wouldn’t be left smelling like a grandma if I had to go somewhere.

After a few days of sitting on my coffee table, the candle no longer overpowered my senses. My partner lit the candle, laid me down, and let his hands roam my back. The scent turned out to be a tad more pleasant than I had expected. After blowing the flame out, he poured the warm oil on me freely. The great thing about the Bwarm is the design of the candle holder, allowing the oil to be poured directly on the skin without the need of tiny spoons or a roll of paper towels to clean up a mess.

The first thing I noticed was how waxy the oil felt on my skin. It was not as smooth and silky as many other massage candles or oils. The first thing he noticed was the absence of the white film that usually covers my skin when using other massage candles, which is a good thing. (That white film drives him crazy!) The scent, once again, was better than I had been expecting. Unfortunately, the friction of his hands moving across my back and shoulders was noticeable. The oil is much thicker than I had thought it would be, and I’m sad to say that this isn’t the best massage I’ve ever had.

After my massage, I hopped into the shower to wash the Rose Patchouli balm off of my skin. To my surprise, I could still feel the oil on my skin after my shower, although I didn’t smell like a garden anymore. I have never had a massage oil stick to my skin after a shower, including silicone-based massage oils. Although it’s not a completely unpleasant feeling, I am somewhat bothered by the fact that the oil won’t come off in the shower.

The Bwarm Soy Massage Candles are available in three scents; Amber Amore, Rose Patchouli, and Fig Leaf. The signature candle holder is flexible, well-designed, and elegant enough to leave out after massage time. The candle itself is composed of natural cosmetic-grade waxes and plant extracts. It has a base of palm wax, beeswax, and soy wax, and includes coconut oil/wax, shea butter, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E oil.

While I’m left impressed by the candle holder and its inventive yet beautiful design, I’m not so sure about the candle itself. It’s definitely not the best I’ve tried, and I wasn’t incredibly fond of being reminded of my grandmother while settling in for a sexy massage. (If you like floral fragrances, there’s a chance you would absolutely love Rose Patchouli though.) All said and done, at only $16.95 I would probably recommend the Bwarm Soy Massage Candle based on the candle holder and appearance alone. Just be prepared to scrub, scrub, scrub in the shower.

It’s no secret that NobEssence toys are the epitome of beautiful. With gorgeous wood in seductive shapes, what’s not to love? After reading Epiphora’s review of the NobEssence Romp and hearing her praise it day after day, I lusted for my very own. When it arrived in the mail, I tweeted and chatted about how beautiful it was. It truly was love at first sight.

I wasted no time taking the Romp out of its gorgeous box and turning the artsy butt plug in my hands, examining every inch of the Cocobolo wood I had previously oo’ed and aww’ed over in pictures. It was better than I had imagined, a true work of art. I hurried to wash the Romp and cover it with silicone lube, prepping it for my ass . I laid down, easing the tip into my butt. With a bit of a stretch the Romp was sucked into me, right where it belonged. My ass fussed a little over the unfamiliar width and rigidness, but turned into a very happy butt within a few minutes.

The Romp has been designed flawlessly for the body. The curves provide a subtle sensation, yet are hard to miss at the same time. While Epiphora has said she prefers the handle pointing towards her back, I find it most pleasurable with the handle facing frontwards. I have found that if I face the handle towards my back, I can feel the tip of the Romp poking me. (Funny enough, Epiphora has said the same thing about wearing hers with the handle facing forward!) With the handle facing my navel, the Romp feels like it’s part of my body, moving along with me as if it was always meant to be there. There really is no wrong way to use the Romp, and it’s bound to fit differing personal anatomies and preferences.

NobEssence products are hand-carved and sealed in a 16 step finishing process. They use a bio-compatible coating, called Lubrosity, which renders their wooden toys non-porous, completely waterproof, and sterilizable. (To sterilize, wipe the surface with a 10% bleach solution. When I first began reviewing sex toys, the subject of pegging came up between me and my partner. He was more than receptive, interested even. We had plans to get a harness, and to slowly lead into it. Time went on, we never got the beautiful leather harness I had put on my wishlist, and pegging was merely mentioned here and there without any plan of doing it in the near future. When Tabu Toys offered me the Bend Over Beginner Strap-On Harness Kit, I excitedly texted my partner, asking him if pegging was something he still wanted to try. (He did.)

The Technical Stuff: The Bend Over Beginner Kit includes two Tantus Silk dildos, the small and the medium, and a Sportsheets vibrating velvet harness. The small and medium Silks come in Tantus’ signature Purple Haze, and the harness matches the purple motif. The harness is double-strap style, with interchangeable o-rings (two are included with the kit to accommodate both dildos). There is a small pouch in the front of the harness, which fits the included wireless vibrating bullet perfectly. Since the harness is constructed out of nylon, you can throw it in the washer after an ass-play session (unlike popular leather harness) and it’s good to go for next time. The Silk dildos are no exception for Tantus products, and constructed out of 100% platinum silicone. They can be sterilized, and are the perfect size for beginners to ass-play. The small Silk is about the width of my thumb (1″ in diameter), and the medium Silk is approximately the width of 2 of my fingers (1¼”). The wide, flat base of the Silks makes them comfortable for use in a harness, and well-suited for butt-play without a harness.

The Fun Stuff: The Bend Over Beginner Kit arrived while my partner was away, so I had time to check things out for myself. The first thing I noticed about the harness is that the straps that go around the waist and legs are the same straps that buckle around the o-ring, holding it in place. Here’s a piece of advice: do not attempt to change o-rings while wearing the harness or it will fall off. The nylon straps are very accommodating to size, and can be adjusted to fit hips up to 60″. The vibrating bullet is the same one that comes with all vibrating Tantus dildos, meaning it takes watch batteries and has one setting (not OMG strong, mind you).

When my partner and I decided it was time to try out our new harness (and pegging!) for the first time, I strapped on and presented him with my little purple cock (we started out with the small Silk). We first tried cowboy position so he could control depth and pace. At first, I had the bullet vibe tucked inside the velvet pouch, but it didn’t hit my clit and dug into my pelvic bone whenever he would grind into me (note to self: take bullet vibe out when he’s on top). He rather quickly asked for the medium silk, and instead of removing the o-ring to put it in, I just slid it through the top (I already had the biggest o-ring in). I must say, cowboy position is awesome for beginners to pegging, and allows the harness-wearer to stroke the cock (or clit) of the person riding. Next up, I had to try a rear-entry position (to test out the harness, ya know). While I’m not practiced in being a fucker, the harness held up alright. I did have to stop a few times to tighten the nylon straps and prevent the harness from moving around so much. The straps didn’t dig in or leave red marks, even though I wore them tightly.

The Verdict: The Tantus Bend Over Beginner Kit is a must have for those new to pegging. While the harness isn’t the best on the market, what you get for your money with this kit is beyond worth it. The quality of Tantus is always amazing, and the smooth, flexible shafts of the Silks are great for those new to anal play or pegging. (Just remember - lube, lube, lube, and more lube!) Even when I move on to fancier harnesses, the Tantus Silks will, no doubt, remain my go-to dildos for pegging. I’ve always considered myself fairly vanilla, especially when compared to some of my kinkier blog friends.
