Tantus RippleI’ll spare you all my regular spiel on Tantus, as I’m sure you’ve heard it enough from me. For this review, courtesy of PinkCherry.com, is the Tantus Ripple. The Ripple, an easily recognized sex toy, is available in two sizes; small and large. Thanks to my lack of butt play, I got the small Tantus Ripple (my eyes haven’t been too big for my bum thus far, thankfully).

The small Ripple features four bulbs which gradually increase in size down the shaft. Don’t mistake this thing for a butt plug, that’s not what it is. The Ripple is meant to be thrust in and out, providing stimulation with each bulb as it says hello and goodbye to your bum. To start out, the first bulb is about the size of a small-ish finger. The last, and widest, bulb is 1″ in diameter, making this toy perfect for beginners to ass play. The Ripple is constructed of platinum silicone, just like all the other amazing Tantus toys (duh!), which means it can be sterilized by boiling, a 10% bleach solution, or your dishwasher.

Tantus RippleSo how did the Ripple fare? Honestly, I had mixed feelings. There’s no doubt that Tantus manufactures great stuff, and the Ripple is no exception. However, my butt just doesn’t seem to like movement. It wants a plug that just sits there and says “wussup” every now and then. The Ripple was foreign, and I’m pretty sure the thrusting just confused my ass more than pleasured it. I know what you’re saying…. “What if you just put it in and kept it there?” Yeah, I tried that. The problem with the Ripple is that there is no distinct neck, and the area where the neck would be isn’t much smaller than the biggest bulb. When I put the Ripple in and try to keep it there, my bum protests and pushes it out without any trouble.

Suffice to say, my butt just won’t accept the Ripple into its club. However, that doesn’t mean is isn’t a great product. The Ripple is harness compatible and would be suitable for pegging, although the small size might be a bit too short. If you enjoy ass play with movement, and are looking for something beyond a butt plug, the Ripple is just up your alley. US readers can get their very own small Tantus Ripple at PinkCherry.com for $24.99. Canadian readers can get theirs at PinkCherry.ca with no duty or border hassles!

I’ve been curious about this toy for a while, but hadn’t yet read a review on it, so I’m glad that you got the chance to try it. I, too, like plugs but don’t have much experience with movement or thrusting in my ass, so I don’t know how I would like it. I’d still like to give it a try, though!

    Thanks for the review!

This review made me LOL so hardcore. :D

I think that’s my problem with a lot of anal toys and such: it feels foreign for me to have something in there. I need very specific stimulation in my bum for it to feel pleasurable.

Tantus ProTouch | Miss KissThis Says:

[...] The Protouch was designed to mimic the “come-hither” motion of a finger, meant to stimulate the g-spot or prostate. It has a unique shape, with its bulbous shaft and widened ridge towards the base. Since the Protouch is silicone, it’s great for anal play and can be sterilized by boiling, running through the dishwasher (top rack, no soap), or wiping with a 10% bleach solution. The Protouch is produced in three colors; pink, a deep maroon, and the always classic black. There is a hole in the base, which fits the included one-speed, watch battery operated bullet. The silicone is extremely smooth and shiny, and the body of the toy is fairly flexible, similar to the Tantus Ripple. [...]
